Birth By Sleep.

IT'S HERE! A day early, and I've yet to play it, just had to make a quick post first.
3 and a half years in the waiting, it's finally here! Got the shazzy special edition, pictures included. And by the way, sorry for the head tilting =3

This is the game everything comes with. Looks nice, great art.

Here's the box itself, with the nice anime art :)

You get two pieces of card with nice images in the set too, here they are. You've seen the art before, but still, it's very nice.

Now the main event - the artbook. Here's the cover.

I've got a few pictures, but not all of them - otherwise why would anyone have it? Just a few pictures to show you how nice it is, not to spoil it. Some nice artwork.

And finally, the whole normal box package.

Hope you enjoyed! My views... once I've played it.
And to make the day even better - NEW PHOENIX WRIGHT ANNOUNCED! <3
*faints, then quickly remembers must play BBS and wakes up to do so*

Wind Waker

Guess what I just finished?
:D
I didn't enjoy it as much as Twilight Princess, but it was still a pretty good game. Some parts were better, but overall it didn't feel QUITE as epic.
Anyway, onto Sunshine now, then September can come =3

Another post on Pokemon White?

Yeah, I kinda got sidetracked way early on and the whole post came out a big negative, so I think another post is in order. By no means am I negative, just a thought that came to mind. It is less than a month now until we will have a new Pokemon game and I must say Nintendo has done fairly well with keeping up the hype. A massive number of pokemon have been shown, over 40 by now, and it really goes to show how many more we can expect to come!
MOST of the designs so far are fantastic, I dislike a few of them (Munna) but I have/will grow used to them. If I’m honest I think 5th gen could hold the best set of pokemon yet for me, with a massive amount of newcomers to choose from. I also have a few favourites so far, such as Victini who is already in my top 5! This is just one great thing about the upcoming release.
Triple Battles also sound fun, but are not what has really caught my attention is Rotation. While It may seem gimmicky at first, it could hold some really interesting strategy and I quite look forward to playing it. It won’t become mainstream but it certainly does look like quite a fun addition. Could see some real use and I look forward to it. Not that I’m ignoring Triple Battles – those are gonna be crazy!
The changes in graphics, wow. Not much of an upgrade, but making the battles non static really does add something. The changing music to a slightly darker tone when your Pokemon is low on hp is something I REALLY love, and even if the annoying beeping is still there it gives me a reason not to turn my sound off when I get to low HP.
Now I gotta pause for a second, because you probably already all know this! If you don’t go check out Serebii and see for yourself. Back? Time I talked about something more interesting that the features you already know.
Shame I ain’t that imaginative just before I fall asleep! I’ll just leave on this – I’ll be open to battles from as soon as I get the game, and my youtube channel ( www.youtube.com/raszero0 ) will probably have a few videos on the game, but I’m not sure just what of yet. Probably new features and whatnot. I really am looking forward to the release of this, and I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated! Sorry you had to read this if you already knew it!

Pokemon White - Change?

It's pre-ordered. It's fantastic. It LOOKS to stur up the Pokemon we know and love... or will it? Think about it.
The graphics look different. It's a new style which has only been emulated on the home console games of constantly moving Pokemon, but this time it will be a constant.
It has been confirmed that without trading or use of the Dream World, there will be only brand new pokes until end game. So it will be a real change to be thrown into the world and only your past game knowledge will help you, no running into pesky geodude and knowing how to fight him.
Triple Battles. A new way to play, with different tactics and whatnot. Surely with 3 pokemon switching will be near useless as you will always have type coverage? Surely will be new.

So there IS changes. But what I am thinking of is the Competitive endgame metagame.
What can they do other than new pokemon and moves? Each generation so far has had massive changes to the actual single battles (singles as they are most used)
1st Generation - Introduced the game. Pretty big.
2nd Generation - New Types to balance it out, eggs to make getting good mon easier.
3rd Generation - Ev's and Iv's introduced.
4th Generation - Physcial Special Split.
5th Generation - ?
What could there be? Nothing obvious comes to mind. Ah, but there are items in battles... Not something I see becoming popular on the wider competitive audience. If it does I say this alone will shake up the metagame, with items such as revives having a massive impact, or being able to heal a freind without wish. But with it being optional, like double and triple battles, it does not affect what is likely to become the final metagame. A bit of fun, maybe, will it draw out battles, yes.
So assuming we choose to disable this feature, what will happen? When we finally get to wifi, will the game change much more than a bunch of new faces? That will shake things up of course, it's not going to change how every pokemon works, as every Gen bar 2 has ensured.
A new type? Unlikely. We have seen over 40 of the new Pokemon with no such thing. The rumored Light Type? I see it as VERY unlikely, as Reshiam would have been the best choice.
3 typed Pokemon? I have considered this, but it would be VERY suprising, seeing as they have not showed it yet, and it would stray from the forumla.

So what else? When it comes down to it, will we really see much change, beyond the adjusting to new pokemon and moves? I don't think so. Unless Game Freak has something quite devious up there sleeves, don't expect much change.

And anyway, I guess most people interested in this post will play on Shoddy or PO anyway - and are they really going to include the moving sprites etc? Will going through the game with only new pokemon affect you there? nope. For shoddy especially, will we see Triple Battles? Unlikely, as they skipped doubles. Maybe for PO, but who knows. So for those on simulators... will you seen any change, beyond going on the CAP server, at all?

KH:BBS

I've been waiting for this since the day it was annouced. I have bought 2 PSP's (the first broke) in preparation for this game. I LOVE the Kingdom Hearts franchise, it's fantastic. So bring it on!

A quick message while I’m on a flight path. Yes, from wow. I’ve abstained from activating my account for 4 months, but now I’ve decided I’ll just get a month. It’s a fun game. I started it to prove how much I hate it – didn’t turn out too well. Its kinda marmalade – you love it or are dead set against it. Like most things in life actually, now that I think about it, but meh. I notice it in wow a bit more than other games.
If anyone wants a recruit, message me Xd.

Top new pokemon

Top 10 B/W pokes
Well, to get this blog started I have been going around doing this and that on a few of my hobbies. I still have a few things to talk about before I have to start coming up with ideas, but for now I’ll settle for Pokémon. Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or don’t like Pokémon/ the internet) You would be aware that some new, good proper games are coming out fairly soon (In japan at least), September 18th to be exact. I will be among those importing the game, and I have little knowledge of the Japanese language. But I decided to give my thoughts on the Pokémon so far – most of em seem a bit like marmalade. I first decided to do a top 5 – but I couldn’t choose just 5 at this stage, so I upped it to 10. (Pictures can be found here - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtml )
#10 Zorua: Even decided this was hard, as I love 90% of the pokes that have been shown so far. I chose this guy for number 10 to start off, s/he’s got a pretty nice design, but instantly I was not 100% keen. However it’s grown on me and I like it now.
#9 Meguroko: Again, this is similar to the other guy. When this batch of pokemon were shown I only really liked # to start off with, but he grew on me and I love those shades now. His typing and ability also seem fun for ingame and hopefully the competitive scene.
#8 Gigaiasu: This guy was first shown in a batch of six, and while they were all decent this guy just looked the best. I was sceptical at first but now I gotta catch one of these badass beasts.
#7 Kibagon: I gotta admit, the first 3 poke’s in my list were far from love at first sight – from here on however, they all were. This larvitar lookalike may not look much as he is, but the design is pretty nice and he’s a dragon, always welcome. As long as he don’t evolve into a flying walrus I think I’ll find space for him somewhere.
#6 Zoroark: Gen 5’s first poster boy, an event only – poke with an epic ability. Not quite as cool as Lucario, but I reckon we will see him in the next smash bros.(please make another!). Otherwise his design is solid and I look forward to capturing one.
#5 Chirmamii: Normal type technician you can get early game? Yes please! And I’m sure little cup will welcome the fella. His design is perfect, certainly one to catch early game – just make sure you get the right ability!
#4 Wooguru: Now this is one of the most badass flying types we’ve had for generations. I first thought it was a delibird evolution to be honest, but I’m really not bothered. While he may be caught later in the game (screenshot shows lv58,every other poke so far has been lv50) I’ll reserve my flying type poke for this guy.
#3 Reshiam: The bronze goes to Black’s cover legend. To make a Pokémon all out of a single colour seems a recipe for disaster, but this was pulled off rather well, and apart from some oddly placed hair in a particular place makes this a solid poke. It looks elegant, powerful and all knowing, something which sounds like a recipe for a great Pokémon. One to look forward too I think.
#2 Tsutuja : Easily the best started of this generation for me, and I guess I’ll have to wait to see the final evolution to have a proper judgement, I like the look of him quite a lot so far to guarantee I’ll choose him on launch day. He may not be the best started, but I feel confident in saying he is my favourite grass starter to date.
#1 Bikutini: The most recently- officially showed – Pokémon of the list, this event only legend looks great and to fit right in with the lineup of base 100’s. I thought he was the best of 5th as soon as I saw him, and I look forward to soft reseting one for my competitive team!
Special Mention: Zekrom – this guy is quite badass, and I would probably place him at 11#. However, I did like him the first time I saw him, but he was overshadowed by Reshiam for me, so I thought I’d not include him.
Hope you enjoyed the article, I might not have the best way’s of telling you why I like some pokes but… I hope you get the idea. Why not leave a comment if you agree or disagree with me?

Hacker?

Can't say if this is real or not, but better safe than sorry...

WARNING:
OK, so many of you have heard this already, but there's a hacker going around on DA, he's getting into peoples accounts, and even worse, he deactivates them completely. There is a way to avoid this though, if you ever get an email from nobody@Da.com or something like that, asking you to change your passwords, don't do it, it's a trick to get your account hacked, just delete the email as soon as possible.

and now onto worse matters, below is a message (from microsoft I believe) that is warning people of a massive hacker, and the steps you need to take to stop him from getting you. I would like to thank for getting this info.

IF A PERSON CALLED SIMON ASHTON ( SIMON25@HOTMAIL.CO.UK ) CONTACTS YOU THROUGH EMAIL DON'T OPEN THE MESSAGE. DELETE IT BECAUSE HE IS A HACKER!!

TELL EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST BECAUSE IF SOMEBODY ON YOUR LIST ADDS HIM THEN YOU WILL GET HIM ON YOUR LIST. HE WILL FIGURE OUT YOUR ID COMPUTER ADDRESS, SO COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE EVEN IF YOU DON'T CARE FOR THEM AND FAST BECAUSE IF HE HACKS THEIR EMAIL HE HACKS YOUR MAIL TOO!!!!!...

Anyone using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report'

If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC,
And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it .

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'..

PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to
PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY!

Summer

So, the time is... now. Well, If you read this past 12:30 on the 23rd it is. Sure it's been summer for a while, but this is when it really starts for those still in education. A well deserved break after school... only a few years of em left, but meh.
Always fun.
And that's all I really have to say. Thought I could say more than I had in mind for this. Ah well.
Look forward to an actual useful post tommorow.

Toy Story 3

Wow.
Just... wow.
Just got back from Toy Story 3 - and man, it is EPIC. One of the best films I've seen in a long time, and certainly the best sequel, beating the other films by a mile and, in my opinion, making it the best trilogy... ever. Seriously. Go watch it now. And buy a cinema ticket, you get 3D and you get to support these guys to make more master pieces like these. (Not that I EVER condone piracy, but ye...)

Word's can barely express how awesome it is. I'm not up to a review right now, but I'll just say... WATCH IT... TWICE. Well worth it.

Also........ (slight spoiler alert)

TOTORO IS IN IT! AMG.
That is all.

The Legend of Zelda

Okay, I lied about the Toy Story. That’ll come later. For now, I’ll be talking about the Legend of Zelda. It’s a series that if I am honest has never really appealed to me – I’ve played a dungeon or so of a few odd games, but it’s never stuck with me. To many gamers saying such things is heresy, but I’ve just never found the appeal… until now.
After recently completing Mario galaxy (I never tend to complete games 100%, so I’m doing it for a few games.) I decided to go back and try Twilight Princess. I got it back on the day of the wii’s release but I don’t think I ever got past Death Mountain for whatever reason. I’ve since lost my data and thus started again, and have got to the just before the water-y temple in just a couple of days. And I have changed my mind. To be fair this may have started in phantom hourglass – I got right to the end of it but have yet to do the last boss (perhaps for my to do list?) but now I can see why it is as revered as it is – brilliant gaming. I also have a sneaking suspicion that the game has barely started seeing as I have yet to even see Ganon or touch the master sword – whether that’s true or not I’ll have to wait and see. Regardless, I just thought I’d share that with you… and the main reason I’m writing.
The Zelda timeline – according to an ONM interview, a confidential document locked away at Nintendo whereas before the issue the document was thought to be mere legend and the fans would be forever left to speculate. This is still the case (until some crazed Zelda-timeline freak breaks into Nintendo and steals the document, of course) and leaves quite a few interesting theories. I’ve seen a few and they all make sense, oddly enough. Looks fun.
Anyway, little other point to this blog post. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Friday 16 July 2010

September.

The month dreaded by many in my age group, the end of the blessings known as the six week’ holidays and back to school. Some quite like getting back into that flow. I however, am not one of those people. This will be my first year where I dread and look forward to September. Why? Releases. This is the most packed month in memory. I must confess I am an importer so sometimes schedules clash, but really?
Here’s my list of wants. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. New Warhammer 8th edition box set. Pokemon White. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. Final Fantasy XIV. The list grows every week. Sure, that’s great, but why all in September? I understand to release them all over the summer would be bad marketing, but not even one… it just annoys me a bit how they squeeze a year’s worth of gaming into a month.
Now for my first proper blog post reading that probably makes me seem like a bit of a spoilt prat – but of course, I ain’t getting all of them. I doubt theres time in the month (Especially including the schoolwork. Gah.) But regardless, this has been on my mind and why not rant about it here? ;D
I don’t normally /ever/ ask this, but… spread it out more next time please… and what’s worse, is the waiting time between games. Something like KH I need to understand to appreciate, but over half a years wait seems just hideous. And Pokemon has the same thing, but I don’t care so much for the plot so that’s bearable.
Anyway, that’s another blog post for another time, perhaps. Or not. I apologise for the negative nature, and I’ll try to make my next post more positive. Speaking of which, Toy Story 3. Maybe I’ll do a review, splendid. If somehow I have anyone following me, thanks for reading and do enjoy my next instalment 

Intro

Hello. It appears you have somehow stumbled upon my blog. Please do enjoy your stay. I felt like creating a blog for in case I ever wanted to ramble, complain, write about something, whatever, with no clear aim in mind. If you choose to keep up, I warn you most of my posts will be on some subject of gaming ( on the table or at a controller) so if this is of little interest to you, you may find there is little benefit in reading my posts. However to the rest of you, (and those who decided to stay on for the sheer hell of it) Do enjoy your stay.
